25 years power-lockout started with the introduction of the P3000 system. This unit monitored battery voltage, at a set low voltage, and after a time period to allow for spikes, it would isolate non-essential equipment. When the battery was recharged to a minimum level, isolated equipment was automatically reconnected.  It also included a LED display for battery state, battery on charge, and min recharge level. This feature was also incorporated into the P4000 and P5000 split charge systems.1997 saw the repackaging into a single integral control system without the display facility.

The next major development took place in 2000, with the start of the power reserve system. This system allowed a section of the main battery bank to be isolated, without breaking to supply to essential equipment. This section of the battery bank could be located at a higher level for added security. Once the voltage comes back to a acceptable level, the batteries are recombined. This system also had a full monitoring  system for volts and amps. This period also sure the introduction of dual source power supplies, allowing equipment to be supplied from two independent battery banks.

The future? We have 4 new products in development in the power distribution section, release details will be early 2008.

Power-lockout, upgraded units to 500 amp, allow non-essential equipment to be locked out if service battery falls to a pre-set voltage. Power is automatically restored

Power reserve, these allow a battery bank to be used as a single bank normally, but split to maintain a power supply to critical systems at a low battery voltage. up to 500 amp
