Over the last 25 years, we have been asked to switch most circuits using most possible
sources, which were then produced from a one off, to production quantities.
We have attempted to update and assemble the most universally usable systems into
this one section. These have then been broken down to sub-groups,system, charge and
light / amps / temperature / rpm / frequency / volts representing the means of control
/ sensing. The system is designed for max flexability, allowing it to be adapted
to meet a customer’s particular need.
general / customisable control
- cabin / deck lights, the unit will power two light circuits ( via internal circuit
breakers ) from a permanent live supply for a four minute time period, allowing safe
exit at night after switching power off, or back-up lights if circuit fails, daylight
lockout.
- engine room thermostat, the unit runs the fans on engine start up for a set period,
dependent on temperature after engine shut down, low voltage cut-out. The unit helps
minimises saloon under floor / engine room, hotspots while engines cool.
- pump control, press start button, if pump primes and runs at correct amperage the
unit will lock in, if the current drops due to the pump running dry, or increases
due to a pump blockage, the supply will drop out, a stop button can also be fitted.
- motor supply, remote switched power feed ( output drive for 100, 200, and 350 amp
power relay ) monitors high amperage, high temperature, and low voltage, the relay
drops out supply if any parameter is exceeded, pulse relay control option.
- split charge 2 banks + power-lockout, drives 100 amp or 200 amp relays, monitors
voltages on both battery banks for switching, low service battery voltage power lock-out
relay drive , circuit breaker protection for unit electronics and relay feed.
- split charge 3 banks + link start two independent, user adjustable, drives for 100
amp and 200 amp relays, monitors voltage on both primary battery banks, one touch
link start between primary batteries, internal circuit breaker protected.
- maintenance charge, mains charger provides pulse control to mains supply, size and
frequency is dependant on charge level, overcharge protection to simple charger,
maintenance / winter mode to larger chargers, helps minimises sulphation.
monitor
light / amps / temperature / rpm / frequency / volts
switching options with hysteresis
auto
a) cut in above set value
b) cut in when below set value
press to start / press to stop
a) engage only if above set value,
b) engage only if below set value,
c) drop out if parameters set in a or b are exceeded.
remote switch
a) drop out supply if set parameter exceeded
b) drop out supply if value falls below set parameter.
- light, monitors the ambient light level via a remote sensor module, enabling loads
to be switched on or off automatically at a preset light level, stop circuits being
engaged manually when light level is outside prescribed parameter.
supply
12 volt or 24 volt dc, some units are 12/24 volt dc, other voltages on request
output
a) c/o relay contacts 10 amp
b) drive for remote 100, 200, 350 amp power relay.
enclosures
IP65 moulded in with integral mounting lugs
protection
remote reset circuit breaker for internal electronics
option
remote monitoring panel
- amps, monitor amperage via a electronic shunt, switches loads automatically on or
off at a preset level, allows circuits to be switched only when within prescribed
parameter, or switched load to be dropped out if current falls out of set parameters.
- temperature, monitors air temperature, or temperature via a custom sensor, this value
can then be used to switch circuits automatically, only allow a circuit to be engaged
if within set parameter, or to drop out a circuit if set parameter is exceeded.
- rpm / frequency, monitors engine rpm from the alternator taco output, pulses from
a suitable senor, or a frequency, to switch loads automatically, engage a load only
if within in set parameters, or drop a circuit if it exceeds the set parameters.
- volts, monitors battery or mains ( via an adaptor ) voltage, automatically switching
circuits based on set parameters, allowing a circuit to be engaged only if within
parameters, or drop out a circuit if a set parameter is exceeded.
